Hemmorrhoids

Were you looking for information about Hemorrhoids? Hemmorrhoids is a common misspelling of hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoids are common colon problems that affect both men and women equally. They can be internal (inside the anus) or external (under the skin around the anus), and occur when the veins around the anus or lower rectum become swollen and inflamed. Hemorrhoids are often caused by straining during a bowel movement. Other factors that can lead to this condition include pregnancy, aging, and chronic constipation or diarrhea.

The goal of treatment is to relieve painful symptoms and often includes taking tub baths and increasing fiber and fluids in the diet. Stool softeners or fiber supplements also may be recommended. In rare cases, a healthcare provider may recommend surgery as a treatment for hemorrhoids.
